Notary Talk Live! - Test Request
I would like to verify that Notary Talk Live! is working. If anyone is on-line, can you please click the Go Live! button to sign on and let me know if it worked (or not)?
In addition, the Live! server SHOULD be accessible at the following address:
http://www.notarytalk.com
Signing on there will drop you into a full-screen version of the chat application. This approach may work for users who have not had any success using the green Go Live! button. If neither approach works for you, I recommend you review your Internet connectivity settings. If you are using some sort of a proxy (for example, Avast WebShield) for your Internet surfing, it may be disrupting communications with our server.
Thanks in advance,
Harry Notary Rotary

Re: Not sure if I
The screen should load fairly quickly. However, if you are on a relatively slow Internet connection, it could take a bit longer. How long did you wait?
Also, did you try disabling any personal firewalls or web proxies? A very restrictive firewall or a web proxy would almost have to be the cause of this problem. The people who have not been able to connect are using different Internet Service Providers (Road Runner, AT&T, Hughes, etc.) and are using current browser versions. We have many, many others (the majority) who CAN connect and are using the same ISP's and browsers, so it is not specific to an ISP nor specific to a browser.
The difference, then, has to be some other form of security hardware or software that is not allowing the traffic. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to diagnose affected computers. There are simply too many things that COULD be installed, many of which people are probably completely unfamiliar with. Maybe you have software that came with your machine or that was installed by your ISP or a family member?
The bottom line is that there's about a 95% chance that something on your end is not allowing the communication and that we have no way of fixing it from here. It must be identified and temporarily disabled by you for the chat session to work.

Works fine for me - I got right in
It says there are 31 people in 5 rooms - I have to figure out how you see who is in what room and how you choose a room. Or maybe I don't have to????
