Printer

I'm looking for a good fast printer reasonably priced. I've heard the brother 2040 is good.

I like my HL4040CN. It's nice for a color laser and does 21ppm in either b&w or color. Only drawback is one loadable (250 sheet) tray for either legal or letter. There is a fold open multipurpose tray though that is easily left for letter size but only holds 50 sheets.

I have a 2040 for a backup, but I wouldn't want it for a main printer. It can't take alot of pages. Also, not sure why, but 1 company actually had in their instructions "Do not use a Bro 2040" for this signing.

The 2040 is not PCL compliant, can't print some docs, a real inconvenience as you must get people to convert and send you pdf files.
