Question -- a closing was scheduled for 11/28
. . . and it got postponed, then postponed again. They asked me (stressing they'd understand if I wasn't comfortable doing it) if they could go ahead and fax the papers to me that day and then have me sign them the next day using the preprinted back date. I told them "no can do." They "Fully understood and wouldn't expect me to. But the TC would want them to ask." They said they'd let me know as soon as everything was ready to go and assured me they wouldn't get anyone else to do it. I had already reviewed the docs I'd received and spoken w/bo a couple of times. It was sure to be the quickest signing I've had ever and the search I did on the SS showed positive feedback. They even offered me my regular fee w/o me having to beg. I haven't heard anything since. Would I probably be right in assuming they called around and found a notary willing to do what I wouldn't? Just testing my intuition!

You could look on the bright side and think that the loan canceled. BUT, you and I both know that they wouldn't ask at all if they didn't expect to get a positive answer from someone and have in the past.

yes, out of line. You could check to see if mtg. recorded
in that time frame and look at dates, if you have online capabilities. We do in Orange & Seminole counties. Helps when trying to collect.
