Strange ....
if you do a google search on 800-856-1630 it comes up as a preferred telephone number for an independent Notary Signing Agent in Roslyn, NY (listed on 123) and it also comes up as the contact number for United Signatures in Freeport, NY. Two totally different names and located almost 15 miles apart from each other.
... strange!

I've done many closings for them. When I first started out with them everything was going fine. Then they started to complain about my fees. "Can't you do it for $25 less?" they'd whine. They wanted me to work for very little even though I might be driving two hours or more. In the beginning I might compromise, but they kept it up. I was losing money. So I said no. They started to call the cheaper notaries around. Then they instituted this payment system where you have to wait til the end of the month and send them this form with your closings on it. I don't bill this way for anyone else, so it was a pain to remember to bill them at the end of the month. Then, even with this payment system, they take 45 days from billing date to get paid. At this point, we have pretty much parted company. These are just some of my complaints about them, so I can't recommend them (any more than they would probably want to recommend me). They also go under the name Richard Gordon. It's all the same. :-((
