Watermark Services Inc

Curious...Has any notary ever had a bad experience with this company? I have been a notary signing agent for five years now and have never been treated so unfairly by a company like this one with respect to payment for services rendered.

What do you mean by "unfairly" ? My experiences have always been very positive. Yes, they do have high standards! I would work for them anytime.

Thank you for your response. I am new to the Notary Rotary Forum, but I have worked for MANY signing companies in the past 5 years and have never experienced anything like this before. This was my first signing with Watermark, and you can work for them, but I will never work for them again!

I have done hundreds of edocs/webdocs signings and I have rarely had a problem with webdocs. If there was a problem, I would call the company and they would immediately resolve it.

I was referred to their "tech guy" because of problems printing from their website. I was told "it must've been due to the way they were scanned" on their end. He told me how to set my printer so the pages wouldn't be cut off and then resent the TD because he said it wouldn't fly the way it looked.

I finally got the docs to print correctly, but a few pages were still printing sideways. By this time I was late for the appt. I sent them an email letting them know the TD looked ok but other pages were still sideways. I did not hear back from anyone so I left for the signing.

THE ENTIRE ASSIGNMENT TOOK ABOUT FOUR HOURS: Almost 2 hours getting the docs printed, 40 mins. travel time, and 1-1/2 hours for the appt. itself because they had to sign almost every page AS TRUSTEES. All for a $100 fee... which I did not complain about.

Then they called me and said I would not be getting paid! The guy was very rude and I ended up hanging up on him. I have never had any company verbally attack me the way he did.

The whole ordeal was very upsetting. I spent a lot of time, money and effort on that signing. I have ALWAYS taken great pride in my work and have I am very professional. There has not been one signing or notarization I have not been paid for IN FIVE YEARS.

I sent them an invoice because I have every intention of getting paid. I also called and left messages with the lender, title company and sent them all emails. I plan to take whatever action is necessary in order to collect payment for the services I rendered and which are due.

I will never work for a company that treats their notaries in such a manner.

I am in the process of filing a small claims action against Watermark, for non paymnet. They have recently inserted a bullet near the bottom of the second page of their instructions that says if the loan rescinds, you are paid only half of your fee. My issue is that the loan did fund, and they are not getting paid, so in turn, they are reducing my fee by half. I have confirmed with both the title company and the county that the loan did fund, and the deed recorded. The owner has dug his heels in on this, and so have I. They have a history of timely payment, but they are out 81 days on this job, and have been very clear that they have no intention of paying the remainder. You book the time, you pay the dime:-)

I feel sorry for you. I worked with Dean and Linda for over 2 years and I never had any problems, I always got paid within 30 days. I guess some companies are good with some notaries and bad with others.

Just Say "NO"!!!!!

They told me that I didn't fax back everything they asked for, but..... they said they got a page that was at the end of my faxbacks. Go figure.
They then said that I missed a signature on one page, uh, no I didn't. I remembered discussing that particular page with the borrowers.

They don't like to pay notaries and will do everything they can to get away with it.
