What a bad week so far

I have a bad feeling this whole month may not look good. (hope I am wrong) I've done 2 this week so far and missed a call for today and nothing on the books for the rest of the week.

My Citi business dried up over the last 2 weeks, I would do 10-12 HELOCs per week for them (last 3 months)and in the last 10 days I have done 6...

time to catch up on stuff around the house this week.

I have to agree. My Citi HELOCS dried up over a month ago. I did one this week so far and two reschedule for today. Had those two on the books for about two weeks now with dates being reschedule each time because of lack of paper work.

I am catching up on my home stuff, paper work, getting my eleven year old ready for summer camp, doctors appointments, my doctors appointments and hoping the phone rings in between this all.

Most of my work dried up because I refused to drop my fees from one of my major clients. Who nicely told me, "Deborah there are signing agents in your area doing it for far less", my reponse, "go ahead and use them darling." Won't do it, won't discuss it, refuse to even entertain the notion. I would prefer to do one closing a week at a far fee ($$$) than three a week at a lower fee ($$).

Hang in there!

your feelings are all too familiar...

used to get calls by one particular company at least 3 or 4x a week, but ever since I lowered my fee from XXX to XX, ONCE (forgot the prozac that day) now I'm getting the ole' "let me call the TC to get that fee approved...." bla bla excuse....all the while they shop for others willing to work for low ball a$$ fees!

But if these SS or TC's think they are going to "force" me to lower my prices - don't think so, won't do it again!

I just wish those other local notaries would not stoop so low in fees, and start raising their prices, so we can all get fair pay!

Hang in there ME, it IS going to get better, middle of the month coming and it should also pick up towards the end...Smile

This too has been a very slow week for me. Nada on the books. I had great Jan & Feb but March is horrible so far.

Thank you for the emails and PMs everyone. I will get back with everyone shortly. Please don't take it wrong if I don't give out some information about my clients. I've worked hard to maintain a great relationship with my clients and I am sure if they had work in your area they would call.

There has been many times I wanted to ask others the same question over the years. Just last week I a SS on this board called and it seemed to work out so far. I know of a couple of FL notaries that toss me work when there is a NJ closing.
