Would you take a quickbooks/accounting online course?
A friend of mine who teaches quickbook and accouting courses at the junior colleges is looking to expand by do it online and I was wondering if any of you would take it. My background is in accounting and I use quickbooks for my notary business and our family busines because its really easy and it looks professional.
Do you or would you use it? Would you consider taking a class that combines accounting and quickbooks?
Thanks in advance for your input!

That depends?
Depending on HOW it's presented online and what kind of cost would be involved, I am sure many people would be interested (as would I). I don't currently use quickbooks at this time, but have been interested in it in the past. I think the most daunting problem would be the setup of the company (chart of accounts, etc) and learning what needs to be posted where, and when.

Re: That depends?
I just became a Quidkbooks Pro doing all of my learning on line. I have a some background in accounting and this course really fit in. I am now able to set up new companies on the proper level of Quickbooks as well as go into established ciompanies to help them.
This is another Mobil opportunity. In case anyone is wondering, AARP projects that this year, 2008, an estimate of 330,000 baby boomer bookkeepers and accounts will be retiring.
I did it to provide a wider variety of Mobil self employment.

Not a "Mobile Opportunity"
I am glad to hear you were able to do it yourself.
But this isn't a "mobile opportinity." I also have some background in accounting like a BS in Accounting. I also keep books for my notary business and my familys vet clinic. And yet I have learned a lot from her about Quickbooks.
She not only does bookkeeping for companies but she also helps companies reorganize their books after they have been messed up because they don't know either Quickbooks or accounting or both.
She wants to expand her business by giving online courses that teaches accounting with Quickbooks so those who use Quickbooks understand why they are doing what they are doing and how it will offset other accounts and effect reports.
Again, I'm just trying to get a feel for who might be interested.
