spouse is a borrower but not on title

I understand when a non-borrowing spouse is supposed to sign, but what about when the spouse is a co-borrower, but not on title? The instructions say to have her not sign the deed, RTC, and TIL, yet her name is printed on all except the RTC. This is a Navy Federal closing in Calif., and I have paged them twice with no response. Signing is tonight.

Any suggestions?

Can't go wrong following their instructions.

Thought so also until they finally called. They said instructions were incorrect, and would call me back after trying to contact the processor. Hope they hurry. Thanks for the reply Lee.

Should have added.... even if instructions are wrong.

Don't know CA rules for spouses, but I have done a few where spouse is co-signer on sole and seperate property.
Nothing I would do.

They called, said to disregard instructions, and have spouse sign everything.
