Back date Loan
Just got an email asking if I would back date a loan on the 29th that is dated for the 28th, because borrowers will not be in town until the 29th. and lender does not want to do redo dox. Just wondering if anyone else got it also. it is for zip 32058. Cant believe they would actually send an email asking to do this. Usually they ask on the phone so their is no paper trail. Not worth losing my commission for

That's an interesting email. I have never had a coming send a request like that in writing. I would hold onto that email for future reference.

I'd tell them I'm forwarding the request on to the Secretary of State's office for their opinion...
That might get a response!

There are only a few (I can only think of two, MA and CT?) States where the loan docs are date sensitive. Just make sure you notarize all the signatures where and when the docs were actually signed.

I just did one for the 24th on the 26th but all the dates by myself and the borrowers were for the 26th. Are they saying this is what they want or are you getting directions to backdate your notary block. BIG difference

Back Date is a Big NO NO! Go to jail fast if you do.
