CTC Mobile Notary Services aka Golden Bear Signings
Can anyone tell me if they are or have had problems with CTC ? Did a signing for them back in the end of March. They asked me to refax the invoice, which I did. I gave them some time to pay and called first of May to be put into Acct. Payable voice mail. Now I find their phones are no longer in service.
Last night I saw on the Notary Rotary listing board they are given good marks.
Does anyone know the situation with this company?

I did a signing for CTC and all went well. Then, before I was paid they asked me to do another one which I did. There was a problem with the second one and I had to go back to signer. However, CTC kept calling me saying I had done different things wrong and now they couldn't get their money and they were not paying me for either one of the signings. They kept calling me until I had to hang up on them. I called the title company which was connected with the signing to see what was REALLY wrong with the docs. They said "Nothing is wrong" and yes, it had funded on time". I have spoke with other NR's and they have not gotten paid either.

DISSAPPEARED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. I DID A SIGINING FOR THEM AND, FAXED BACK THE REQUIRED DOCS, AND THE NEXT DAY THEY WERE GONE. NUMBERS DISCONNECTED, WEB PAGE DOWN.

Re: CTC NOTARY aka "GOLDEN BEAR" OWES ME TOO!
CTC NOTARY never paid me $150 for a signing I did for them in Feb. '08. I know all the CTC phone #s are disconnected and I've left messages for "Bill" at "Golden Bear, the new company name they're now using," but no reply at all.
My next step is to contact the title company, lender, BBB, collection agency...whatever it takes. These companies can't just get away with ripping off notaries and then just change names and conduct business as usual. If you went to a dentist or a doctor, do you think they'd let you get away without paying the bill? I don't think so!
