Deed of trust rejected
because I used the acknowledgement stamp from Notary Rotary and they ( title co and recorder) did not bother top notice that my name is already included in stamp. They rejected it because they didnt see my name hand printed

For something like a deed, I think I would be more comfortable using an all purpose acknowledgement. Most recorders have their own comfort zone in dealing with everyday things, when you throw them a monkey wrench, they don't handle it very well, as in your case. Better be safe than sorry especially when dealing with deeds, etc.

well if they had the correct wording on the paperwork in the first place I wouldn't have had to use my ack. stamp

Are you saying that you purchased a custom stamp from NR with the new CA ack. wording?

Re: Donna LaBelle... this is where if you
Nothing went wrong per say. The NR ack stamp for CA has our name included in the wording, so we don't need to write it in every time we use it. Apparently whoever was recording the deed is just so used to seeing the notary's name handwritten in that it didn't even occur to them to check closely to see if it was preprinted.

That stamp I use only for general notary work ....
On something that is recorded at county, I will continue to use a loose acknowledgement. In addition to doing something different that the country recorder is not use to seeing, due to the small print, it may not meet the "photographically reproducible" test.

Here in Florida the name must be printed under the signature even though it is on the seal.
