Don't ya hate it when
you have a signing and the borrower "claims" they are an NSA? Friday I had a closing and hubby (superman) was nbs. He walked in after signing started and immediately started talking the talk. The wife just hushed him up real quick bcuz she was tired and wanted to take her nap. As we are going on, he's picking up the doc's and they were starting to get out of order. That is a hugh pet peeve of mine. I stopped and asked him to look at the copy I brought for them since it's the same. He goes on "i know what I am doing". I took the papers anyhow, put them back in order and showed him his copy again. Not a problem. He was doing calculating on the originals. Ok, light bulb moment. IF he claims to be an SA, he would know you don't mark the originals. The moment of truth. He has his notary seal. That is IT. Know I know what so many people are talking about. That is the mentality. Have seal, will travel. This guy, according to him, was everything. He was a broker yet didn't know what doc showed whta info? He sold insurance (he claimed) yet was out of work at that moment. I think if I had said anything at all, he would have been that too. He got into a screaming match with the lender over the redraw fee for a signing he cancelled. Said he'd stop the loan if they didn't remove that. He was trying to pick my brain to where he could get work as a signing agent. I told him "well, as a broker you should know how the market is right now". BAM, deer caught in the headlights face. Just venting. I really don't like when someone else does this job and doesn't want you to explain certain things bcuz they claim they already know. Sorry, If I don't explain to them certain things, they'll pull "oh, she never mentioned that. I come back with "well, if you do the same thing, then you SHOULD know I have to explain this. It's been a good but tough month so far. GL to all at EOM. That is when I love it.
