Got a call from Golden Bear ss.. Never heard of them. Looked at search, but thought I'd seen something on them the other day. Anyone?

Thank you for your response. I thought I had remembered the name and how it was connected to a bad company. Once again, this forum saved us some anquish.

CTC NOTARY-NOW "GOLDEN BEAR" DID NOT PAY ME!

CTC NOTARY (now calling themselves GOLDEN BEAR) never paid me for a signing I did back on 2/13/08. After repeated attempts to collect payment, they promised me the "check is in the mail." All of CTC NOTARY's phone numbers have now been disconnected! Another notary on a different message board gave me their new #: 1-866-783-3291. The guy's name is Bill.

The other day, I thought it was odd when I called CTC NOTARY for the umpteenth time and they answered by the name GOLDEN BEAR. I thought I had just misdialed. But that's them! They can certainly run, but they can't hide. Not good business cheating your notaries out of money like that. I'm so disgusted right now. I've never had a signing company just lie and tell me they're sending payment and then don't. Well your small claims court action papers are in the mail too "GOLDEN BEAR."

Beware of the GOLDEN BEAR. Grrrrrrr!

This just bugs me. This is criminal. He closes up shop as CTC and opens a new SS. I wish there was a way to stop him other than just making sure notaries are informed not to work for them.

CTC NOTARY/GOLDEN BEAR NONPAYMENT ISSUE

Derrick ~ You're absolutely right! They shouldn't be allowed to get away with it and I will do everything in my power to see that someone looks into this company's unscrupulous acts. I plan to report them to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General's Office. One thing is not getting paid and and being lied to for months, but it is a matter of principle as well, and they should not be allowed to get away with it.

All notaries who were not paid should do everything they can as well. Post on every message board, file a complaint with the BBB, send letters, take them to small claims court, etc. Whatever it takes to prevent other notaries from having to go through the same thing.

"GOLDEN" BEAR.... HAH! THEIR NEW NAME SHOULD BE "BROWN POO POO" BEAR!
