Non-paying customers

I don't want to cause problems - but is everyone getting paid by those requesting our services? I give a 30 day payment grace period.

I have over 5 invoices that are 45 days not paid.

I am thinking of collecting up front for my service at signing since I can't trust the title companys or signing agencies to pay me on time or at all.

If a lender is paying out funds to a client and we are doing the legal signing to make the loan legal and not getting paid for our services is this legal fraud? Maybe this is a good case for the Attorney Generals Office. I work in real estate as well as finance and I know if I withhold money that was earmarked for someone else I would be in Federal hand-cuffs.

Please let me know your insight on this... Thank You

"we are doing the legal signing to make the loan legal and not getting paid for our services is this legal fraud?"

What are we doing to make the loan legal? Notarizing a document does not make it legal.
When we notarize a document we are saying that we have identified the signer as the person who signed the document.

In these days it appears that 45 days is about average for payment. (not saying it is right, but reading the message boards it seems 45-60 days is about average)
