Old Republic Title

Oh my gosh! here we go again I got this email that someone here got a few days ago too.

"Our pricing-
$85 1st mtg e-docs $70 heloc e-docs $50 no sign/no show fee.
If you are interested, please fill out the vendor packet and email it back or fax it back to"

And if loan does rescinds no pay? Ha, ha I wish I could run my business like that. That only money will flow in my direction. They are paying low SS fees, at least mostly all SS Guaranteed the fee if loans rescinds.

Title co's get real if you pay 175.00 or 200.00 dollars I can run the risk of not getting paid if the loan rescinds but a these prices(85.00) you should guarantee full fee even for no sign/no show. JMHO

I got this too, and posted about it last week. I sent back my thoughts, as to their fee schedule, and got this response: "Thank you for your response. These are the fee's we are currently paying 108 individual notary's in our new program. Normally we deal with National Vendor's. We have recently decided to start using individual notary's. I started testing this new program with 20 notary's and things went well so I started adding more."
I was very dissapointed to say the least. I hope all the lowballers run out of steam soon. It's so ridiculous to do e-docs at those prices. Not worth it for me, my costs have continued to go up ALOT. Our fees should be going up, not down.

Wow...that is just too crazy.

Their spelling is awful.

I can't believe Old Republic employees don't t know that * 's * (apostrophe s) means possessive and not plural! And, "notary's"? It is "notaries"... it's "fees" not "fee's"...it's "Vendors" not "Vendor's"!

Why do the idiot's out there accept this crap? I guess, because they're idiots. Unreal.

I countered with my fee schedule and left it at that. I have worked for them recently and they met my fee schedule. But not, I guess, anymore.

Re: Old Republic Title - maybe I'm picky but... those 's wor

I think there are a lot of notaries out there that have no idea that they can charge $125 - $150 per job and get it. About six months ago I was contacted by a notary in my area (who has been doing this longer than I have) who asked me what I was saying to these companies that keep lowering their fees - he said he just doesn't want to go below $75 - $85 with e-docs. I told him that I don't get those requests, and the companies I work with pay $125 - $150. I think he was dumbfounded!

The companies he was talking about are Nations Direct, LandAm, ServiceLink, and SOX. Obviously, I wouldn't work for SOX at any fee, and told him so. The only other one I've worked for is LandAm and they met my fee. He is not listed on NotRot, and I doubt he reads this forum, so he just takes whatever the companies offer and thinks that's all he can get.
