Re: Special Discount on Automotive Training.

I have a couple of questions in regards to this type of signing, before spending money for training.

How many pages are in a package?
How many pages require notary?
Are the docs overnighted to the notary or borrower?
What does the signing pay?

Re: Special Discount on Automotive Training.-- Brenda

OK ZeeCA- What about the 100's of notaries we have employed? What about them? Because there is a lot and it's just going to be more and more notaries put to work by this new type of service. Trust me on that. We need to fill our database because we have two major Auto groups about to sign on and our current signing volume will increase tremendously. As far as the notaries we haven't been able to employ: we rotate notaries and try to get to everyone, but as everyone knows we can not predict where our signings will be and some areas are busier than others at this time. Also we make no guarantees for work, as we cannot do that. Our disclaimer is on our site: We've been around going on 2 years now so we plan on sticking around and paving the way for this new service and providing mobile notaries with another source of income, whether is be from us or if they market themselves with their new skill.

Re: Special Discount on Automotive Training.

Hi Brenda,

Good questions:

15-20 pages per package
2 pages need notarizations
The docs are ALWAYS overnighted-there are NO E-DOCS in AUTO docs!
Signings pay $65.00-$100.00 depending on the distance traveled.
Thank you for your questions-let me know if I can answer any more. Have a great weekend.

Re: Special Discount on Automotive Training.

Two things. Having spent over 30 years in the automotive industry I can tell you that Auto docs are the simplest things in the world. Secondly, since you are going to make your "commissions" off of the backs of the Notary's why are you charging them for the simplest of trainings?

Re: Special Discount on Automotive Training.

Why do you say "off the backs of notaries" as if we are doing something wrong? We are providing a new source of income for notaries in a market that is in sad shape. That's a GOOD thing-and we charge for the training because we want to insure we get only the most serious and professional notaries. People who pay for things value them more. Also it's a training that is not just to be used for our purpose but for the notaries purpose as well. There are many dealers out there that need notaries that do not go though us but that look for notaries on directories. A lot times we tell them what directories. So, why do we charge. That's why.
Auto docs are fairly simple but we tell our dealers that our notaries are trained to handle Auto docs because a lot of times they ask us. How do we know your notaries know what they are doing in this new market, this is how we respond-Because they are trained.

Re: Special Discount on Automotive Training.

I believe ZEE'S earlier response says it all. If they received no signings from after taking your course then they fattened your bank account and got nothing in return. Not surprising in this industry. The wiser ones will keep their money in their own pocket.

Re: Special Discount on Automotive Training.

"People who pay for things value them more."

That is certainly true for some things in life, but because of circumstances in our industry, I don't think it will work for you, if that's your true motivation. The reality is that there are tons of companies out there trying to market to notaries with the latest great deal to help us improve our profitability, but only end up sucking a few more dollars from our bottom line, if we fall for it. As a result, the only people you are likely to convince to take your course are those with the least experience and fewest clients. I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets bombarded DAILY with the latest great deal for me to increase my business.

If your business plan is as good as you say and if the volume truly will be that great, then I suggest you make the training available for free on your website, then have some sort of testing to distinguish those who have really learned the details. If you truly want to hire the best people available (who will no doubt have no trouble getting up to speed on automotive docs), you will make the info as accessible as possible, and make it as easy as possible for the cream of the crop to qualify to be in your database. IMO that would be the best way for you to impress your clients and to provide them the quality service that will attract them to you. Personally, I don't think having paid a fee for a training course proves that a person is actually "trained".

'Course, if you're just another one of those companies trying to squeeze a few dollars from the masses of notaries out there, you'll just ignore this recommendation and continue with your current plan. And you can count me out. If you take my advice, I'm in.

Did you get permission to advertise your "opportunity"?

Otherwise, this looks like advertising a business opportunity, no make that a "biz op", that costs money to work.

Yup! Another one!
If you want a good notary call me, and we will discuss fees. If you want me to use your firm exclusively for my Auto dealership work please remit $29.95.
Thank you!

I I have been doing 3 or 4 per month.

and it did not take any special training course. None needed and the dealer will tell you what they need you to pay special attention to. They are not as difficult as a home re-fi . just a little different. The dealer walked me through the first one and from there it's a piece of cake. Just follow the law when it comes to getting IDs. I have done them for a couple of car dealers in the Inland Empire. The found me on the regular notary sites we all are listed on .......

Re: I I have been doing 3 or 4 per month.

It's no different than say doing say a Timeshare. The first time I was called to do one, I was a little nervous. But, the company was glad to help and answer any questions. That's all I needed the first time and have done many since then with no problems. Auto docs can't be anything more complicated that a phone call or two couldn't fix. I see no reason to pay for training that I may or may not get any business from. JMO

So, the next logical question in this thread would be.....do you have to take the course and the test in order to be a vendor for this company, or, if you have experience can you just sign up without going that route?
