What happened to Document Assistance Company?

I worked for Document Assistance Company and was paid for my services. After I deposited their check, it was returned from the bank marked as "Payment Stopped". I tried to call them but receive a message that the number has been disconnected.

Does anyone have any information on this company or suggestions for collecting payment?

You need to call the police in the city where they are located. It is against the law to write a bad check and the sooner you do this, the better. I have had the same thing happen to me and I recovered my money within a week.
