reverse mortgages

I had a request last week from a signing service for an e-doc reverse. They could only pay $90. I didn't take the order. She said because business is slow they had to lower their fees to their clients.

Today they send me a link for a test (that doesn't work by the way). Seems their clients want to be sure their notaries are experienced with reverse mortgages.

Another signing service saying they want experience and yet aren't willing to pay for it ...

Sue, I do several RM's a month and I get paid very well. If one company can do it, why not the others. Sure busines is slow but it is also slow for us notaries but should we sacrifice our fees to satisfy some of these SS's. I say stick to your fees and let someone inexperienced do the kind of work and knowledge required for a RM and see how many times the SS's will be willing to accept half-a$$ed work.

$90 fee for a Reverse Mortgage??? The title companies have been getting about $595 for a closing fee, and that's all they wanted to pay. Incredible.
The package is usually about 200 pages depending on the title company, and then times that by 2. (that's a lot of paper and time)
It should be no less than $200.
