A first for me
As of today my A/R is zero.. Out of all the years in business this has never happened. In a way it's sad because that means no money due in.
At my peak my A/R would have a 7K 30 day rotation, last year it was 1500-1900 and this year it was 1000 till march.

ME/NJ sad to say "It's going to get worse before it get's better" You just can't depend on notary work anymore. There is the remote possibility that December might be a bit busier. So much depends on what part of the country you live in. It is going to take a very long time for this country to recover from ths financial devastation. It is impacting every business, every American any every aspect of our everyday lives. All we can do is "Hang On" for a very rough ride. Best of luck to you

mine has been like that for months! Thank goodness I don't depend on the signings for my income even though it really helped. I am not in the poorhouse - yet!

I am still making money but it is down by
at least $1000.00 per month, and more. It has taken me 1 year to find another position that will fit with my family and business schedule. It is a contract position with 1 company and I start December 1st. However, I will not get paid anything until Feb. 1.
Everyone needs to diversify and find something else in addition to this. I am not leaving the business...I have enought contacts to weather the storm but I do need to replace the income that I have lost.
Inspections can give an extra $200-$500.00 per month- that has been my experience.
Good luck to all- and remember be thankful for the holiday season and not get caught up in buying everyone a bunch of BS.

I had a time or two in the past year when my A/R file was also empty. I didn't like it at all. Fortunately, I run a tax prep business, so when the signing business is slow, I don't mind at all.
In the meantime, I spend the past few months getting licensed as a life & health insurance agent and am now focusing on that. I'm still around for loan signings, but have added a third business to the mix.
I agree with others that it's going to be awhile before this market turns around, but hopefully, we'll get some business in December.
