Closing Quest--Todd

Replying to:
Todd Griffin, CEO
Closing Quest, LLC

In your posting on Notary Rotary on January 8, 2008, you state:

In the future, I would appreciate the failure of other companies not paying notaries not be the reason Closing Quest is attacked or stereo-typed.
We apologize for the delays some have experienced in receiving payments, but we always pay!!

In good faith, I closed two loans for your company.
One of these loans is part of your law suit with a lender that has not paid you and one is one that WAS NOT INVOLVED in any law suit.
No one has paid me.
Brandi, Malia, Rikki and Dave Engel have all, at one time or another, talked with me over the phone.
Brandi, Malia and Rikki have also communicated with me by email.
The time span now is 7 months+ that I have been waiting to be paid.
And NOW no one answers the phone or replies to email.
"...we always pay!!"
Please do!!!

I closed one loan in good faith as well on 9/10/08 - still no payment. I've talked to CQ a few times and I was assured that I would get paid within 60 days. It's now over 80 and still no check. Apparently when any notary closes the loan, CQ doesn't really care about the notary getting paid. But here's a question for CQ: When you hire a notary, you expect them to be prepared for any closing that they accept from your company. When the notary accepts the closing, you expect the notary to be on time (or early), have everything printed out (sometimes 2 copies), and then you expect them to email you, call you or fax you the invoice/some signed pages, and then you also expect the notary to drop the package to FedEx/UPS/DHL no later than the next business day. Once the notary does all that - you expect us to sit by and wait for over 30 days to get paid when you've already gotten the fees, but don't disburse the payment to a notary - and then, when you get lamblasted for non-payment, you expect no one to say negative comments about your company? Start paying the notary up front (pay pal is good), or at least within 15 days, but no more than 30 days and then, you'll see positive comments.

I am one of those notaries that have been waiting for payment for two jobs done earlier in the year. I have contacted them numerous times, both by phone and email, I get all types of reasons why I have not been paid...we are behind on payments or the last one from Rikki before she left/was fired/ not with the company...she told me...my father passed away and now I am trying to play catch up...hope to be caught up by the end of the week. Well, of course I have contacted them quite a few times since and still no results...I am now getting ready to file a suit against them. I have found that I can get compensation for court costs, a portion of my travel expenses plus the moneys they owe me. A lot of these companies assume that because the notary lives in another state they wont be sued for payment. I started a case against another company...SOX.. and was then able to get paid before the court date came. so I dropped the case. This may be the only way to get these deadbeat companies to wake up and stop taking advantage of the notaries that do the work that allows them to have the business they now have. By the way...I have left voice messages and had emails sent to Todd and have yet to hear from him at all. This company is very unreliable and I would never do anything for them again.

if i own a signing company and someone told me they would report me to the IRS.... I would have a check in the mail to them so fast..i don't want anyone reporting me to the IRS if i have a business trust me this will work...most signing companies are not paying taxes the ones are cheating notaries and cheating the IRS ...THEY DON'T WANT IRS going to their books..

Yes, Todd likes to pat himself on the back, and say it is our fault, we made a mistake , well if that were true, he didn't bother to call to get the mistake corrected. it is pretty odd that so many of us made so many mistakes for this one company or so called company. If mistakes were made, it was accepting this dead beat companys assignment. Lets hope he goes down and can't come back under another name. I suggest we be aware of any signings out of Nashville tn.
