Email from Equity National Title

I received the email from Equity National Title Insurance (RI), bringing attention to the fact that they are having a lot of problems with docs not executed properly--borrowers not dating RTC, TIL, missing signatures on 1003, etc. This kind of thing hurts all of us in the industry.
Just an alert to anyone who does sloppy work, it's time to get sharp & do the job right.
It's no wonder we have a difficult time negotiating decent fees. Sorry, this really annoys me.

I charge more for my services because I'm experienced and I send back properly-executed documents.

Most companies these days, however, pass me by to go for the cheaper, newer notary.
And, they get what they pay for.

Equity National Title is a good company who

pays fairly. They are fine after you have done 10 signings for them. At first they are hand-holders but it is not too bad if you do your job. They always pay me a fair fee and pay it quickly. I don't work for low fees, EVER... I got the email too and it says that if there is a specific problem they address it with the specific notary... I have never had a problem and they will be great in my book.

Re: Equity National Title is a good company who

"pays fairly" good or bad?
"I got the email too and it says that if there is a specific problem they address it with the specific notary... " So you got the email, what did you screw up?

Fair means reasonable or equitable to me... and

I got the email that she quoted, not the email saying I "screwed up" as you so eloquently put it. I am very diligent and execute all notarizations carefully. I am not interested in a war of words, but rather I wanted to express my opinion on the company, a company that I enjoy working for. Hope this clears up my posting. Have a great (and busy) week to all.

Agreed, this is a great company. As such, they have no tolerance for errors. I have never had a problem personally, because I don't do poor work. It just gets me that they have to send this kind of thing at all.

Equity has never said one word to me about a closing error

and I am proud of the careful consideration I give to each mortgage package. The errors that they list on the email that they sent were nonsense. There is no reason not to be familiar with the , TIL, RTC etc. The errors they listed (BTW- this was a mass email, not to mention specific errors to a specific notary, which is different) were simple careless notarizations, lack of professional services by those notaries and there is no excuse. Equity is the best and they do work hard on each loan package. I love to hear from them.
