Internet connection questions
Note: I'm not in CA anymore, but am unable to change my alias. Any ideas anyone?
Hey all, I have been out of the signing biz for awhile now but ya know I just can't get into the 9 to 5 so...yep I've turned my Notary Ap in to the Mayor (thats the way things are done here in TN) and I'm gearing up to start my own biz again. But questions... I don't have DSL available (yes I'm in the sticks). The speed of dial up depends on whether the kids are in school or not. How do you SA's that are in the country handle edox? TIA

You may end up in the same situation I'm in
dial-up is too slow and the only other thing available out here is satellite...I have HughesNet to the tune of $85-$90/month....There are no other providers in my area.
Good Luck

I had the same situation where I live until we got dsl. I used a phone card, it's pretty fast compared to regular dial up

Your best bet for internet access satellite. Forget dialup. You'll just end up wanting to pull your hair out. HughesNet is probably the largest provider, WildBlue is another popular option. Check both because they each run specials.
It's not going to be super cheap, that's for sure. But it will more than make-up for it. You just can't operate on dial-up.
As for changing your alias and state... just send an email via the Contact Us down at the bottom of the page. Let them know you've moved and they'll update it for you.

You might also consider an air card through a cell phone company if they have service available, especially if you use a laptop. I know a lady who lives in her RV and travels to artisan type shows all over the country. She used to use a mobile satellite for internet access, but now uses the mobile broadband service through Sprint.

I have Verison Air Card it cost me $125.00 with a monthy service fee of $69.00 a month. A few month ago my husband bought me a lap top with a built in Verison Air Card. Now I have an extra Air Card for a dell lap top l'd love to sell to some one that for a few dollars (pm me and we could talk) . I also have Clearwire that I run all the house Computers on that Cost me $39.00 a month. I would check both of them out. Some Air Cards for some computers are free with a monthly service fee. It depends on the slot and its shape.

I'd agree with an aircard. Yes it is a bit more expensive, but the increased on sight flexibility coupled with the few choices you have make it a solid potential choice.
