Re: Poor Notary IN Richmond TX- BE AWARE!!!

I've got no comment about what the notary did or did not do - your side appears that the notary was out and out wrong. I'm sure his side would be different.

My question - did you tell the notary in the initial phone call that this was an e-siging? I'm not talking about when you sent the confirmation but when you intially spoke w/him. I've only completed 2 for AmTrust and both times it was mentioned after the fact, almost in passing - 2 different title companies. If you didn't it's still no excuse if he didn't respond when he received his confirmation but my opinion is that this should be the first thing out of the scheduler's mouth ... I've got an e-signing.

Again, it doesn't matter because this person apparently agreed to it but what do you pay for these? Don't make it complicated, just close by - what is your base fee?

Re: Poor Notary IN Richmond TX- BE AWARE!!!

I call a "foul" when this kind of thing is aired on the forum. If it is your intention to destroy the notary's reputation based on one incident, that isn't cool. This is a public forum, and, IMO, these business/personal disputes don't have any place here. We all need to vent, but when you name an individual there is too much at stake.

I agree with Ms. Wells, there are always 2 sides to every story. This in not a place to air dirty laundry.

Double Standard!!!

I don't agree with the deletion or the feedback. This forum IS used to air issues and problems on both sides of the coin whether it is fair or not. We should be held just as accountable as a service when there are issues and not try and cover it up....

Re: Double Standard!!!

This gave an individual's name, email address, etc. We all can choose to link to our profiles or choose not to. NotRot staff felt it was inappropriate and they are the monitors.

I also agree with Ms wells- that is so very uncool to try to destroy a person you don't know from one incident.

This is different, no double standard

I don't agree that there is a double standard.

Most of the complaints against title co's and SS's on this site have to do with the deliberate willfull act of not paying someone for work done. It has to do with a deliberate act.

Complaints against a notary, who probably in his best efforts did a job, and was NEGLIGENT, are different. The notaries acts were not deliberate. He/she might have done a lousy job, they might not even be competant, but the standard does not rise to the level of the deliberate acts of a title co. not paying.

I think the original post was disgusting, and more of a reflection on the original poster then the notary. That company is lucky it was deleted.

Just my thoughts....

Re: This is different, no double standard

I think it's important to note that if you find something here that you think is inappropriate, call NotRot & bring it to their attention. I'm not in any way condoning the actions of the notary involved, as we don't know the full story & really don't need to know. This is business & IMHO, these "contractual" situations are between the company & the notary they hired.
After all, it isn't any different than taking an ad out in a newspaper, and could be construed as slander.
