NNA/Certified Signing Agent

Does anyone have an opinion as to whether renewing my NSA on NNA is a must do? 2009 is going to be an expensive year for me since my Signing Agent Status and my Title producer's License will all expire sometime during the year. I understand that I need to renew my Title producer's license, but by NOT renewing my NSA through the NNA do you think it will hurt me? I will have to go another back ground check through someone else if I don't stick with NNA. I tried to search for other notaries in my area that are on the site but I can't figure out how to find them. Thanks everyone.

To find notaries in your area click on the Find A Notary tab and search on your zip code.

How much work do you get where the company says they found you on the NNA signing agent list?
Notary Rotary does background checks if you really think you need one.

I renewed mine due to the fact that it is a major marketing tool for me and has paid off.
It isn't that I've gotten a lot of work from the NSA site. It has been my approach that in this tough business I need as much credibility as I can come up with. If anyone has discredited the NNA Cert/BGC program, it has been fellow notaries. I won't open the can of worms on the pros/cons of the NNA. Only you can decide if your volume of business warrants the additional expense at this time in the marketplace.

I wouldn't waste my money. I stopped wasting it 4 years ago and have suffered no adverse effects what-so-ever.

I love the background screening that I received right here on Not Rot. It is linked on my profile and also on my website.
All someone needs to do is click on it and there it is. I was background screened through the NNA and had the NSA membership but I did not receive many calls with those so I chose to to try this background screening for a change and my business has not changed a bit!

Only problem with not renewing,is some companies do not recognize the NOTROT's background checks as legitimate and will not honor them.

I've never had a background check done, nor have I once had a company ask me about it.

I have had several companies require proof of a background check.

And a lot of those wanting BGC are out of business or so slow pay they will be soon.

All the BGC requirements are a crock of bull sh___! It seems to me that it all depends on who's believes in who's b.s. Our commissions in CA are issued after passing our Dept of Justice check and an FBI check. It seems to me that the BGC checks offered by these private companies are based on limited checks and not really worth much more than the paper they're printed on.
