On Line Billing company

I just got a email from a company offering a free on line program for notaries, where we can have our invoices automatically sent, via email or fax, every month until it is paid. Sounds great, right, but the kicker is, it post the amount of signings you do, average miles your are traveling per signing and what your average income is for each of these signings. Why would anyone, in their right mind, want to post that they only average $62.50 per signing. Sure let's the signing companies know what to offer us. Maybe, I'm missing something in this great offer???

I don't know anything about this new business venture, nor it's owner, Chukwuma J. Nze (who is also the featured notary on the website's "Notary Spotlight"Wink. According to the brief bio on the home page, Mr. Nze has been a member since January 8, 2006. If this business is almost 3 years old, I'm sure we would have heard of it before now.

I find their website poorly designed for use with Firefox. It may be okay with IE.

I can't seem to locate anything about what they actually do, only the continually scrolling message texts about faxing invoices and tracking your work. I don't understand what faxing invoices every month will accomplish and why would I want to track my work on their site and not on my own computer?

Maybe I'm just completely missing the purpose of this website.

Oh, and the cost, according to the email is zero. However, on the website it says, very clearly on the sign up page, "NotaryTools.netŪ depends on your Donations and a ONE-TIME, $25 signup fee. No other fees are charged." And, as repeated in the "Terms of Service",
"5. Payment Policy

"The setup fee is a ONE-TIME charge. The ONE-TIME setup/signup fee is required before service is activated. All fees are non-refundable."

Finally, throughout the email propaganda, the term "Notary Publics" is used. While not technically wrong (as stated in many dictionaries), the correct form of the plural for "Notary Public" is "Notaries Public".

What a Great Marketing Tool NOT

I think the notary is offering the service to get the names and addresses of new companies.
I mean what a way to build their client list and as a bonus they get to see who pays well and how fast without doing any of the leg work.

Re: What a Great Marketing Tool NOT....Cannot agree more....

Let me make a donation to this site while I compile all my contact information and get it to them to use at their free will. I think NOT!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like another scam to me, like all the notary listing sites that never materialized.
As far as billing is concerned, I use Quickbooks Simple Start--it is cheap & effective. I can email invoices from there, thank you.
