Paramount Document Retrieval - Houston, TX - doesn't pay
I want to warn Notaries and Signing Agencies about PDR. This company has serious financial problems including not paying their employees and myself. I have first had knowledge experience with them. This company is a document retrieval business, not a signing company, title or lender. I have contacted the owner Mark Wyatt via, Email, certified mail, telephone, and fax in my efforts to collect. Mark has ignored all notices and request for payment. He owes me a sizable amount. I don't want others to get into this situation.

Since you're in Texas and they're in Texas, why haven't you filed a small claims's complaint?

Re: Could you please add them to Signing Central?
Believe me I have checked on this option. Small claims has said to file in the precinct where it occurred. I interpret that to be where I live / where the fax / phone order took place. I farmed out a few of these assignments in other Texas cities and PDR is in Houston... when I explained this to Small Claims, I was told it could be thrown out because I filed in the wrong precinct and of course the Small Claims clerk gave me the line: I am not an attorney etc. etc. but if this is how you interpret the location then file... to add additional filing fees on top of everyting else I have attempted does seem worth it. I plan to turn it over to a collection agency and let them deal with it... and they can also put it on the Mark Wyatt's (owner), credit report...

Too bad. Here is like you describe and I could file in my jurisdiction.
I personally would skip the collection agency and go directly to a lawyer - because if the collection agency can't collect the lawyer is the next step anyway. He also can determine since the orders were given to you, perhaps your jurisdiction is acceptable for all, perhaps he knows if he files on several that the rest will be paid, etc.
Good luck.

forgot - depending on how this entity is structured, it may not go on the owner's personal credit report.

Lavonnda- I logged in just now, and was able to see them in Signing Central. Maybe you were not logged in? Be sure to add your rating. The stars (ratings) will not amount to much unless several people add their ratings too. Only one or two comments will not affect the star rating significantly. But at least if they are listed there, others will see the posts that are linked to them.

Re: Could you please add them to Signing Central?
I did Email Notary Rotary about this and received a reply yesterday 11/4/08. Traci said she was adding them to the list and also said she would add document retrieval companies to the list of options... Thanks Traci @ Notary Rotary!
