Please Pray For My Mother
My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer today, on top of that she is paralyzed from a stroke in 1974 and has type2 diabetes. I am asking for your prayers that when we meet with the doctors on Tuesday they will tell us that everything will be ok. Thank you all in advance for your prayers.

Please Pray For My Mother
I have said a prayer for your Mother. May God cover her in his blood and keep her safe during this time. It is done- now you let go and let God handle the rest. You enjoy your Mother and yourself.

Those "waiting days" are horrible to go through. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

My mom was also diagnosed with breast cancer this time last year. She is now cancer free. I pray that your mom receives the same news. God bless you all.

You are in my prayers. "What we wait for, is far less important than what God is doing while we wait. God knows best.

Re: Breast Cancer Prevention's Dirty Little Secret ...
Be very careful about what you read on the internet. If thermography was that effective, it would be in wide use. The images are very hard to read and very inaccurate. However, mammograms aren't perfect, either, especially for dense breast tissue. Sadly, we're seeing more and more young women (pre-menopausal, even in their 30's, 20's and younger, believe it or not) being diagnosed. Those cancers tend to be a bit more aggressive, too, so I don't agree with the news discouraging monthly self-exams. Lots of women find their own cancers!

You will also notice that this doctor is promoting his own thermagraphy clinic - his business enrichment against established protocol. I am not saying there may not be some validity to his claims, I just think that when someone promotes their own clinic there is a conflict of interest. Oh, don't forget to buy the book....

My best to you and your family. My Grandmother will be 99 on the 15th. She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer when she was 85. Had surgery to remove her breast and she has been cancer free for 15 years. There is hope.

My 88 year old mother, who has had several mild strokes and also has type 2 diabetes was diagnosed with breast cancer about six years ago. Thankfully, it was a very small tumor discovered on a routine mammogram. [The doctor said it was the type of tumor that a woman would die WITH, not FROM... so far, neither has been true! ] She had the cancer removed surgically, then took Tamoxifen for 5 years without side effects. End of treatment, end of story.
As some one else alluded to, the waiting time can be the most difficult. I hope your mother is as fortunate as my mother was and that you get relatively good news on Tuesday! Depending on the pathology and how early it is caught, some breast cancers can actually be dealt with as a minor nuisance and short-term inconvenience, at least physically. Emotionally, however, just hearing the diagnosis of "cancer" is something that sticks with you.
Prayers coming your way....
