Stone Street Capital

Thank to all the posts regarding this company. They contacted my office 3 1/2 weeks ago to conduct a funds transfer for them (22 pgs) for $65.00. It took me 3 weeks to get ahold of the person who is receiving funds. I was informed that a meeting was confirmed this past Monday afternoon and that the receiver was waiting for me. When I arrived, not only was he not "home", I was told by his mom that he hadn't been staying there, but to check up the street. IMHO, shouldn't have Stone Street made sure of where this person was actually living? At any rate, I finally got a chance to sit down and do some research on Stone Street. Fortunately, before I made any other phone calls to try to contact the elusive signer, I found loads of non-pay comments. I called Stone Street and informed them of what I discovered. I was going to suggest they deposit the funds into my pay pal account, but was told that if I didn't want to do the signing, they'd find someone else. Then, I was hung up on! I called back and left a message letting them know they'd need to contact their client to have him stop calling my phone - if not, I'd let their client know about their non-payment policy and they could deal with it. Just venting here - but thought you'd all like to know that there are notaries/signing agents out here that do utilize NotRot.

Yes, I'm chasing payment for one done on 10/6. They had always paid me in the past.
This one I'm getting the run around on.

They called me the other day for a local annuity signing. Wanted to pay only $65 - I countered with $125 (which they have paid me in the past, but it's been a while) and they kept dialing. No way are their annuity signings worth only $65! Looks like I was lucky they kept looking for someone cheaper!

oh wow...I'm so glad that I didn't do it for $65.00. They do owe me for a trip fee - but I'm not going to hold my breath.

And have you been paid? I had a call from him about two weeks ago, was asked to email a copy of my invoice, and still no payment. I sent him another "reminder" yesterday. Also, anyone I try to reach at Stone Street I'm only getting voicemails. This is probably the last for me--I don't tolerate runarounds & chasing payments.
