Vendor Pro update
I just logged into my Vendor Pro account out of curiosity. I did not sign up for the monthly "membership" fee, but opted to pay $4.00 IF I received any signings. None came.
There had initially been a list of about 10 signing companies (no title or escrow companies) who apparently were trying out the lending stat concept. They were listed on the Vendor Pro website. When I logged in to the site today there was only one - lending stat. No other companies - not even MortgageDocs.com.
There was a live chat link so I used it. The text of the conversation follows:
"John: Hi, thank you for visiting. How can I help you?
You: I signed up as a Notary/Signing Agent on Vendor Pro. I did not sign up to pay the monthly fee, but rather chose to pay the $4.00 for each assignment which I might receive. To date I have received none.
But when I log in now I find that I only have one company name in my "Accounts" tab when before I had about 8 or 9. Where did the others go?
John: There is no more $4 dollar fee. It was removed.
You: So what does that mean?
John: You will work with MortgageDocs just like before on the new web site.
You: But what about the other companies which were supposed to have access to my information?
John: They are using lendingSTAT platform.
You: But they aren't in my "accounts" list any more. How do they find me?
You: And if they do find me, how do they know my fees? My fees were listed in my "accounts" tab for each company.
John: They will need to contact you directly.
You: Like the old fashioned way?
John: Yes
You: So why do I even need a Vendor Pro account?
John: So MortgageDocs can contact you for signings. There is NO fee for receiving any signings
You: Is MortgageDocs the only company that is participating?
John: Yes"
So..... I guess MortgageDocs is the only company that will be scheduling through Vendor Pro.
I guess everybody knew that concepts like this have come and gone before.
