I was wonder if wouldn't mind helping me. I need to find out where the line starts to get the new Healthcare that is coming. I also need to find out how to get I my part of the wealth that is going to be shared. If you would please let me know where I go to sign up or how to get it started that would be nice. It really would love to get it started as soon as I can. I know that a lot of people will be signing up I just want to be one of the first in line. It will make my life so much nicer. I know I must qualified because I don't make a lot of money. I think I will love the new changes too. Thank you advance. I like the new way they say it "Shairing the Wealth" I have always hated "Welfair". I hope I can get mine soon. My husband is layed off right now and everything is so expencive. I too have hope things are going to get better.

Why don't you take your sarcasm over to the political forum where it belongs.

No appology needed

You pointed out (with a bit of sarcasm, a good rhetorical tool) some of the impossibilities of campaign promises made.

Politics is a practical art, you take the good with the bad. There will be times in the next 4 years when we all wish we had McCain. If the election had been visa-versa our wishes would be versa-visa.

Maybe some of Obama's social proposals go too far, maybe not. One thing for sure, even with the House and Senate, he's not gonna have enough cash to do them all.

Taxes will rise, the outgoing administration has assured that. (And that's not about partisanship, it's about competence.) They would have risen under McCain too. If taxes don't go up the deficit will and our dollar will shrink. Six one way half dozen the other.

I think it was good that we fought it out. It's good that we're honest about the outcome.

Now we all need to be as classy as McCain and get on with getting on.

Okay, so this is the work forum... what's this all mean for loans, mortgages and the like?

Means 2009 is gonna be tough as nails but the folks who get up earlier, go to bed later and keep their eye on the ball will survive. (Though I doubt few of us will survive on just notary income, I never have.) Just like every other year.

Did you hear Chris Carpenter had to undergo ANOTHER arm surgery making him once again doubtful as a legitimate starter for the Cards next year?

Re: No appology needed

If you are in a tight squeeze financially or close to it, I suggest finding another source of income, because the mortgage market don't show any signs of coming back anytime soon. In addition to the bad economy we have been promised "sky rocketing" power bills because the new admin will be forcing the coal power plants to retro-fit for reduced carbon output. I hope that the plans for reducing carbon dioxide all over the world doesn't affect the plant life on this planet since that is what they need to produce the oxygen that we need. Funny how everything is interconnected on the planet.

I did exit polling yesterday and I could count on my hand the amount of younger people voting in the past. Yesterday was amazing. There were so many younger people. Heck there were older people who have not voted since 1976. It IS nice to see a change.

I am just glad we have a chance for a change is the usa. We need something. I have parents that are mad as hell because they can't go where color doesn't matter their brain is just stuck. Nothing I can do about them or people like them. All we can do is hope this Country can go up from here and life will be better for us, our children and our grand kids. There are never any guarantes, only hope. That is what last night was about.

I thought that when I said I was sorry the post would move. Sense it hasen't I will say this last thing. I don't see much change except more socialism now then we had before. Funny thing no matter who got into to office it would be a change. Bush's turm is over .We kept a lot of we a lots of the OLD Congress and Seanate people more Dems the Rep. that for sure is not change. Maybe I am missing something. I just dont get it. How does that change the World for better? I do hear that we now have HOPE, I will be HOPING too with the whole world. But the Dems had controll of both house's already that is where things get done. I saw people vote more of the same a lot more of the same not change. JMO dont shoot me, I am just trying to understand.

Halleluja! This country needs a leader! Not a self-serving figure head. I'm deeply disappointed in the Bush regime. W will go down in history as one of the worst leaders of our time, along with Greenspan. Bill Clinton looks like an angel these days! I have great confidence in our newly elected Obama. He was able to gain the support of some very prejudiced parts of our country, and I believe in him.

Did any one else glean how often we heard GOD's name in these past few months as our presidential hopefuls vied for this majority vote? I really am praying hard and furtively for a better world. Praise God! He's the only one who can guide us out of this mess we're in, globally.

I couldn't get over the shock from the last two elections, as well as the actions taken during the last 8 years.

<<<<I was wonder if wouldn't mind helping me. I need to find out where the line starts to get the new Healthcare that is coming.>>>

I watched the debates....all four of them. And Obama CLEARLY stated that for those that ALREADY have health care through their employer....NO CHANGE IS NEEDED. He will strive to lower THOSE costs. But for those that have NO healthcare coverage, he sought to develop a program where they could enjoy the same benefits as HE, as a state gov't employee gets, and the costs would not be expensive because millions would be paying into the pool.

Let me repeat, if you already have healthcare coverage....NO CHANGE IS NEEDED. Why is it that people continue to blantantly IGNORE what he said?? And having health insurance vs. having no insurance....listen.... beggers cannot be choosers.

Take a trip to ground zero, look around real good, and tell me you will feel safe come Jan 20, 2009.
Bush made some mistakes however, I believe he has kept our shores safe. BTW, I have 2 sons in the Army who had a calling to join, and to help to do something about it.
As far as the worst president? Remember the peanut farmer from Georgia who almost broke us economically!
I'm glad to be a Conservative who does not need a hand out. Been down, but not out.
This board has so many cry babies. Yeah, things are tough, so look to see what else is available for you to do if this is not working out. Grab those boot staps, not the tissuse.
Sorry about the rant

I don't get the point of your rant

Hubby and I are both military vets...him Marine Corps and me Navy so we've served our country military, in peacetime AND in wartime (Desert Storm). I'm also conversative.

My point to OR was to address his statement about health care and to clarify what Obama DID say. If all have access to healthcare, none have to walk around ill, infecting everyone else. You call it a handout, I call it sensible.

How have we done in the last 8 years? People are screaming and crying about the economy, healthcare, education, etc.

Re: I don't get the point of your rant

And now because we have a new President, everything is going to change? Don't bet on it. The same old guys in Congress, are the same old guys that got us to where we are today. They're the same group that pushed for de-regulation of the mortgage industry so that more low income families could buy houses: they're the same group that pushed the de-regulation of the securities industry and the same group that pushed the de-regulation of the insurance industry.

So now we will get another group of old Clinton buddies to help us out. The new Chief of Staff is the same guy that pushed the NAFTA agreement through under Clinton - who waved goodbye to all the jobs he helped send overseas - what's he going to do for us now? Will they magically re-appear under a new President?

I certainly agree that Bush has made tons of bad decisions - but our problems started way before he became President. We can thank the Clintons for their 8 years in power for the start of the perfect storm that we find ourselves in today. Our enemies don't have to invade us to destroy us - they can sit back and watch us do it ourselves and keep buying up America.

Of course, this is just my HO Blast away!
