A case of mistaken identity

I just received an email from a title company regarding a closing that recently took place. There were a few errors:

> The Deed of Trust had the wrong state in the notary acknowledgement. It should have been lined through, initialed, and the correct state written in.

> The signature affidavit did not have a notary stamp on it.

> There was a document that was not signed.

I called the title company and told the escrow assistant that I wished I could help. But it wasn't me who did the signing.

I was originally scheduled to do it, but the documents had to be redrawn. On the day the closing was rescheduled I was booked and couldn't do it. The signing service had to find someone else. The title company still had my email address and sent me the email that was intended for the other person.

Re: so if you didn't do it, why the need to post?

Either ignore the email or contact them saying that you were not the one that did the signing. PERIOD!

Yesterday I received a call from a frantic woman that had not received her monthly statement and wanted me to take her GMAC payment over the phone by credit card. I simply told the woman that she had misdialed. What would you have done?--taken the woman's credit card number and contacted GMAC?

Gees Carolyn,

It's a free country...nothing illegal, immoral or unethical about his post.

Frankly, I found it interesting...and chalk up your objection to yesterday's dental work you had done.

Wouldn't ya love to get a call like that...

but not from one somebody else signed cause you were booked...from one that they used someone else cause they were too damned cheap.

(Not likely in that case that they'd have your email associated with it but one can dream).

Forgot two stamps and 3 sigs? O gee, that's a pain... you gotta send me out just for that? Oh, have to redo the whole package now? Dang, that sucks. Leme see... I was gonna do that signing for $125 but you assigned it to Dumbasdirt, what'd ya pay him? $87.50.

Nope, still can't do it... I'd be glad to do it for $125.

Yeah I understand your predicament, but $125 is the price.

No I understand, go ahead and find someone.

Good luck.

Oops... gotta wake up now... work to do!

Speaking of Waking Up...

...isn't that what the Codgers need to do tonight?

Please don't post leisure topics on this board

Please write them on sandpaper and then... nevermind...

We never hoped to be in the post season. We dreamed of winning one against the Cubs. Then hope was born...

Now the stress is killing me... damn Torres anyway...

Either way it goes I'll be in a better mood next week.

Yep, Gary, It's Over...

...but wait till next year! I'm sure I could come up with a few more cliches & Yogiisms, but really the Dodgers (I'll stop calling them the Codgers until next year) have a lot to be proud of. Congrats!
