Delaware is an attorney-only state, so you can't legally do loan signings there.
That limits you to doing general notary work, which may be OK for pocket money, but you won't make a living on it. Laura Vestanen has a good book about marketing your general notary services, which would be helpful in your situation. Market all you can locally - thru websites, yellow pages, chamber of commerce, hospitals/nursing homes, jails, adoption agencies, etc (make sure your notary rotary profile is current and informative). Also be sure you know your state notary laws thoroughly!
Again, don't risk losing your commission by doing loan signings in your state, no matter what some signing company may tell you; it is ILLEGAL for you to do them there, and there are severe penalties!

Great advice from Roger. If you are setting up a business to do mobile general notary work you can get a free listing a YellowPages.com. I would also market to nursing homes, etc. There can be a lot of notary work out there. Know what your state allows in fees to be charged, and if they allow fees for travel. Here in VA my minimum fee for that type of work is $25 ($5 per notarization & $20 travel fee). Good luck.
