Archer Land Title
Has anyone received any calls back from Archer re: not being paid for a closing? I left my first message on 10/23 almost 5 days ago and they still have not called me. Well If I do not receive a call today I will be calling the attorney general for MI. It is most obvious they are not going to call us or pay us.

Are you serious?
Archer Land Title Posted by Margie Pratl of MI on 10/27/08 7:56am Msg #268301 I read on the Notary Rotary that Archer closed their doors on Fri. Oct 24th. I spoke to them about 3 minutes ago because I did a closing for them on Oct 1st and have not been paid. If you have not been paid call (Ace Mortgage at 317-275-3945 (accounts payable). Just so you know Archer has other offices I have done closings with in Minnesota. They stated that all offices are closing their doors as well as Ace Mortgage on November 3rd. You will have to leave a message with Ashley who is in accts payable. She is getting bombarded with calls so you will have to leave a message and she will call you back (Yeah right). If I do not receive a call soon I will keep calling about payment.

Archer accts payable
I just called there and the accounts payable number is 317-275-5059 and it is not Ashley, she is in a different department.

Re: Archer accts payable - FYI
Ashley handles RESPA A/P and Sharon takes care of closing A/P.

We are fortunate to get paid for those. I am still owed for several Respas - two last week!!They were one of my favorite title companies to work with and I am sure sorry to see them caught in the melt down. Would also like to get paid!!!

This is not good news. I have been waiting for a payment from June. They paid the wrong notary and I have had nothing but trouble since then. I was told on the 15th of this month I would have the check in 1-2 weeks. I certainly hope it comes in the next day or two or I will be calling them back for sure.

I just filed a complaint with my attorney generals office to try and get help form them in collecting my money. We will see what happens. I was told by Mike Livengood yesterday by email this: Sarah,
All invoices are currently on hold for payment. Our office was informed that we were shutting our doors and we are currently running on a skeleton crew only focusing on clean up issues. There is rumor that bankruptcy proceedings will begin this week but I have not heard an official release on this.
Im sorry I cant give you a better answer but at this time there isn’t a lot of information available. I would suggest you keep an eye on the internet and contact the Trustee for payment/notification in the event the bankruptcy is filed.

This is ridiculous that we have to chase our money down when they didnt have to chase us down for our services. We supplied the paper, toner, gas, time among other things only to get screwed. I have stated on my profile and I will tell companies up front that there will be a late charge if the payment is beyond 30 days - no exceptions. If you pay your bill late you get a late charge per month so why should they be exempt from it. This is the first company I have had trouble with, most of them have paid me within 15 - 20 days at max.
