Chase in Louisiana called me yesterday
needed a notary for an acknowledgement about 5 miles from me. Borrower already had docs. Rep calling me had no other information. Told her I couldn't quote a rate without additional information. She said she'd find out what the docs were and get back to me. Of course, never did hear back. Anyone else getting these calls? Are they for just one notarization and what fees are you quoting?
For just 1 notarization I would charge the allowed $10 plus a $25 travel fee. However, what if when I got there it was a full loan package??? The person calling me had no idea. Said the assignment was just dropped in her lap from another representative. Sounded way too vague to me.

Why not tell her just that - "For what you've requested, $10 plus a $25 travel fee, payable by the signers in full at the table .... however, if I get there and it's a full loan package, then my fee is $XXX.XX, payable by signers in full at the table." And don't forget to get return shipping information..MHO
