Double Signing charge?

I have been getting a lot one signer is at one location then the other signer is at a different location.is its like a double signing.What more do you charge for this?

FYI the term is "split signing". What you charge is up to you, based on differences in times & distance. I usually add $50-$75 as an accommodation fee. IMO it doesn't warrant a double fee.

My travel fee is for the total miles and I charge $XX for the first 25 miles, then extra for miles over that. If the split signing total distance falls within the 25 miles, I don't charge extra.

So, Lisa, you mean you also don't charge extra

for going through the package twice for signatures - in essence doing two signings?

My post referred to general notary work.....sorry for not clarifying. For loan signings, yes I would charge extra for going through the package twice. I do far more general notary work than loan signings so my mind is on that aspect when I respond.
