I'm back....
Been without my computer for 9 days (according to my last posting), got a job (parttime, but works for me) and have, through all this, freed up time not being online, rediscovered what is truly important in my life. Many many thanks to my comrade in arms against the world desktopfull for her great assistance in landing this job, letting me use her computer for closings and helping me get my computer fixed on the cheap! One can never have a better friend and cheerleader!
Bought a kayak and am ready to fill endless hours away from the mundane getting in shape, burning excess calories and, yes, fat, so that I can head across this great nation and in search of my soulmate (hahaha!) or to rendevous with a bridge lover who can cook well.... If I show up at your dock or river in your town, I would appreciate a hot toddy or margarita, depending on the weather of course. But first, I have to see Florida in all its glory, but one can dream.....
Now spending the day catching up while awaiting a bus delivering my GD from TX, who found out firsthand that you can't turn back the clock, and who just called me from Tallahassee to let me know her seatmate is a childhood friend and has now discovered just how small this world really is. Anticipation!...

Re: I'm back....Congratulations Juls, sounds great!
Kayaking is wonderful exercise as well as a great form of recreational travel. Feel free to pull your Kayak up in my field on the banks of the Noyo if you find yourself in N Cal. I'll send you the GPS coordinates if you'd like. We've got several nice kayaking rivers in the immediate vicinity. If you don't mind kayaking with an antique Grumman canoe hanging around I'll be glad to show you around the local water courses and introduce you to some of the locals.

Sounds like a great plan to me. Kayaking would beat NSA work any day. Have fun!

I'm glad you're back, Jules, and I love you new adventure.
Please, make a visit to the Indian River Lagoon in Vero Beach just SW of you. You can come south down the Kissemee and pick up the main canal in Fellesmere or come down the IR from Brevard County.
You can knock on Charisma Too anytime for a great meal, good friendship, a comfortable stay and a place where all sailing friends are welcomed no matter the size of their craft. I'll even rent a kayak (as I have done in the past) ((I really envy you)) to show you the many wonders in the Indian River that can only be seen in a craft with little to no draft.
It is very exciting to be traveling the same waters that Manatee, turtle and dolphin travel. I envy your new addiction!
