NC property, out of state signing
I searched, but couldn't find this quickly. I have a signing in CT for a NC investment property. Is there anything "wierd" I need to be aware of? Witnesses aren't required in NC. Is there any ink color stipulation or other quirk regarding recordability?
TIA

I would love to see the source for this. I had a California DOT rejected because at that time Virginia did not allow loose certificates - notarization HAD to be on the same page as the signature of the borrower. I used my ack stamp on the signature page and it was fully Virginia compliant - it was immediately rejected and I had to re-do it for free after they re-drew the signature page to reflect CA wording on the same page as the borrower's signature. This was a private job from an individual who already had his docs - his TC said it was rejected by the recorder. Don't know if that's true, but it's what they told him.

"I would love to see the source for this."
United States Constitution, Article IV, Section 1:
"Full faith and credit shall be given in each state to the public acts, records, and judicial proceedings of every other state. "

Why did you redo it for free? If they sent you something that was impossible for you to complete correctly by their standards, they should be the ones to eat the cost, not you.

If a POA is being used, we have a special POA ack that must be attached to recordable documents.

Thanks! Not POA and only looking for recording info
notarization, of course, is subject to CT laws. I was just looking for recording info (i.e. witness requirements would fall under recording info. Even if an out-of-state signing occurred on a CT property, 2 witnesses would be required on the Mortgage Deed.) And I believe WI has ink color requirements...Just want to make sure I'm aware before I get there.
