Texas Closings
Any texas notary - please help. I need to know when borrowers are required to close in a title/escrow office. My understanding was on HELOCS with cash to borrowers and PURCHASES. Need some clarification, please. TIA

Home Equity closings or HELOC's are the only types of loans that are required to close in a title co., an attorney's office or an office of the lender. This requirement only applies if the loan is on the borrower's homestead/primary residence. In other words, if it is an investment property or a second home, this does not apply. Purchases can close anywhere. I closed one today sitting in my car with the buyer.

I think this applies only if the loan clses in the state of Texas Lisa. It looks as though Ocean Pacific is in Washington.
Correct if I am wrong please.
