What constitutes a bad month?
This month was full of ups and downs. A few weeks ago, I posted that I went 0 for 3 one Friday. Not all was lost only 1 didn't reschedule and I was paid (full fee) for it - still 0 for 3, you're kidding me right?!?!
So I was busy the middle of the month and on track to surpass my minimum. Last week came and went and I had to turn down more than I accepted. This week my car was stolen on Monday night and it's been pretty silent with the phones - take note newbies - when the phone isn't ringing, I start dialing. I was able to schedule a couple of assignments on Wednesday. So there I was getting ready to leave and I'm looking for my briefcase. Yep, it was in the stolen car. Yes, I amended my police report and notified the SOS.
So it was Thursday morning when I get a call that my snew tamp was ready. Yes less than 24 hours after I placed the order it was in my hands and I'm back in business. However, I had to get a journal as well and I can't even begin to tell how I miss the MoJo and I wish I purchased an extra one from NotRot the last time.
Anyway this month has not been stellar, but at least I have my health!!!

Boy when it's bad it's just bad. Glad you were able to look at the bright side. I'd have been pulling my hair out.

Re: What constitutes a bad month? On the lighter side....
A bad month is when you have a wife, a mistress and a mortgage...and all are past due.

What's the song "Mama says they'll be days like this"
Seriously, I feel very bad for you. What a bummer. I think crime is getting much higher due to the economy. We've had a rash of car break-ins in our little town. They are taking anything they find. Change, CD's etc. Have they found the car yet? My mom had her car stolen right out of her garage. The keys were not in it, but hanging on a hook. They totaled the car. It was a hassle to say the least. Take care.

Oh wait, here's the kicker...The stolen car is an 89 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 at best 18mpg going down hill behind an 18 wheeler and being pushed by a 78 pinto (you know what it is) Well it is paid for and we were already looking to replace the cars we have. So it really isn't as bad as it seems. He is bigger than our pile of s.......circumstance.

This took me.......tried shopping for car tires. I just couldn't bring myself to buy a set of tires today. The price was out of site. What about those offers to do an edoc closing for $75. I can't afford to work at that price with the price of tires. A bad month...... I am sure it can get worse.

Oh, the joys of this business! Sounds like you stayed on your feet & didn't have much down time--excellent! Business was a bit quiet for me middle of the month & I was really glad for it. I've spent a lot of the month on tech issues--setting up a new computer, printer issues, etc. As they say, if it's not on thing, it's another. We know in this business you have to be ever-ready. I am praying that my tech issues & expenses are over for quite a while. I'm wondering if the "bad mojo" is coming from Washington & Wall Street. They do, after all, claim it "trickles down". Ha!Ha!
