Care to finish your thought and share the new name?
Or did I miss something?

Not to make light of the situation, but it's kind of humorous--"maverick" like the slogin of a certain pres. candidate.

I checked the Maverick National website..
they've been around for quite a while and I don't see any connection to Titlestream, although I admit it was a cursory look and I can't get into the TX website to compare the companies' filings...
Curious as to how you found this out, Shelley - what's your source of this information?

Re: I checked the Maverick National website..
I thought Maverick was the company that had offered to settle the Title Stream invoices for 10 cents on the dollar? They were considering buying Title Stream, I think?

Re: I checked the Maverick National website..
That was Metro Title that offered the 10% not Maverick.

Re: I checked the Maverick National website..
Hello,
I am one of the Attorneys for Maverick National Services. I am responding to this Forum entry to clarify once and for all that Maverick is not affilaited with Title Stream. Maverick did not consummate any merger, acquisition, stock swap, asset sale, or anything similar. Mr. Buskirk, a previous employee of Title Stream is now employed by Maverick. Further Mr. Buskirk does not owe you any money, rather his former employer does. We are not currently aware of what Title Stream's future or current status but anticipate that they are winding down the business.
Please understand that Maverick will not remain idle while we are disparaged by notaries who are upset with Title Streams payables and attempting to put us in that same light. Any slanderous, libelous or other remarks will be dealt with aggressively, as we take pride in our reputation and the fact that we pay all of our vendor partners in a timely manner. We challenge anyone to produce a fact that is contrary to that statement.
Although we are sympathetic with the current mortgage industry difficulties which we all are feelings, some more than others, we did not create this circumstance that you are experiencing and again allow me to be clear that we will not tolerate being disparaged or our reputation placed into question. Our focus is on conversion of the great clients that Title Stream served through the years and continuing to grow our vendor partners who help make the closing experience positive for all parties.
If you have any questions, please contact us at [e-mail address]. In addition, we are monitoring these websites to determine which notaries, if any, are fueling these incorrect rumors regarding our presumed affiliation with Title Stream.
Regretfully,
Maverick National Services

Re: I checked the Maverick National website..
Really? I am not owed any money - haven't dealt with them in years (I saw the writing on the wall - that that for whatever you want). I don't know about nor care about any 'affiliation' or 'nonaffiliation'. BUT, I would like to state that for more than 25 years I worked in a law office. I can guarantee that no lawyer I ever ran into would post something anonymously - name, address and phone would be attached here.

Re: I checked the Maverick National website..
This is actually kind of amusing.
First, I've never met an attorney who declines to identify himself when communicating to others - especially when that communication threatens a lawsuit. A name would be nice; an address and phone number would be even better. You know who we are, so it's only fair. And we'll probably check, so make sure you use the name of a real attorney...
Second, I've never met an attorney who volunteered information about his client when it was never asked for. No one here mentioned a "Mr. Buskirk", so why are you telling us about him and who he used to work for?
Third, no one here was "disparaging" Maverick National - there was some confusion about whether or not there is a relationship between Maverick and Title Stream, and it was pretty much resolved until you showed up to muddy the water. Shakespeare had a pretty good line about protesting too much; perhaps you should consider that the next time before jumping in with both feet.
And don't get me started on the grammatical errors in your post...

That is their focus? why? Sounds like an unannounced assumable almost.
Well, just another speculation, agreed? Also, agree w/Sue & Mike about attys using their names, etc., discretion (not divulging any info) but know them to use all the red herrings and smoking guns they can garner.

Re: I checked the Maverick National website..
hes upset becasue someone on the 123 board posted an email that states scott busbirk and monte sturgeon(the owner of TS) have now gone to Maverick and they are getting flooded with calls and emails about payment. He basiclly posted the same letter as the one here, there as well. they might be mad cause they have monte on the payroll and now they are not looking so good to notaries owed back monies. who knows its probably monte posting here so no one will call his new company looking for him, cause he NEVER answers his pone at TS.
