Another SS bites the dust....

I hope I am wrong and will be writing a retraction - I just called TL signing in Benicia, Ca. and no one answered the phone and the mail box was full and could not accept any more messages? I was calling to see where my late check is? Does any one have current info?

I did two jobs for TL Signing Service in Benicia, CA - one in late Oct 2008 and one in early Nov 2008. Apparently, they pay once per month for all jobs the previous month. They claim that they cut checks on the 15th, but in actuality they hold them at least a week or more before mailing (according to the postmark) so you really don't receive payment until the end of the following month or beginning of the month after that! The dates on the checks are whacked - both dated prior to the actual dates I did each job!

The Oct job I received payment on 12/4. The Nov job I received payment on 12/26 (which was closing in on 60 days at that point). So, if you do a job late in the month, payment can be received in approx 30 days. However, if you do a job in the beginning of the month, be prepared to wait nearly 60 days for your payment.

Their TC client on both these jobs was Universal Settlements - an extremely unorganized TC that is no joy to work for.

I'am sorry a few of you had problems. We have been in business for over 15 years and we have always paid our notaries. Lets give everyone a phone # that can be reach at any time of the day or night 707-319-4335. We appreciate our notaries and we will make sure they are paid.
