Cleveland Title
Update on my last post. To reiterate, I posted that I did a closing for Cleveland Title on 8/13/08. I was told I would be paid when the loan closed & funded. The loan funded 5 days later. Several days ago on 9/1/08 I called to ask where my payment is. That's when the excuses started. She said it was in the mail and it was returned and mailed out again. But I never did receive it, so I emailed her and threatened legal action. She emailed me back and said she is overnighting it to me. So we'll see. I don't like to be lied to. She lies a lot. I don't do business with Liars.

Re: Let me see if I have the truth about this post
Thank you! for your rational input on this situation. I just so happen to be the closing company that found this notary for Cleveland Home Title. As a matter of fact, I have found hundreds of notaries for many title companies. I am so sorry that the title officer has had to deal with this extremely unprofessional notary. I have never had a single problem with Cleveland Home Title. They always pay within a day or two of funding. They are fun and pleasant people to deal with.
This was honestly a simple error in the mailing address and a second check was sent out as soon as it was discovered, which happened to be over a holiday weekend. Unfortunately, it wasn't good enough for this notary and she "flipped out", threatening the title officer and title company with legal action. So, we paid to stop payment on the check that she will probably receive tomorrow, and the title company cut her a new check and sent it to her overnight mail.
So, it's pretty obvious who's being unreasonable here.

I have to agree
It's just plain silly to start fussing and making threats about payment two to three weeks after the signing.

DD please calm down!! Your reaction is way out of line on this. I am sorry to say this but you acted unprofessionally in asking for payment this quickly. You certainly lost this company to work for and possibly others! I am usually not critical of others, are you sure this is the correct field for you?

Funny - DD/OR that you didn't post receiving the check 9/4
Of course, you wouldn't post that here. It would show how unreasonable and unprofessional you were. It seems that the title officer wasn't such a liar after all.
