Countrywide

Recently I've had a number of borrowers complain to me that they had a hard time finding a loan (they wanted to refi a Countrywide ARM) and that Countrywide was rude to them when the borrower called and asked for a fixed rate. Last night, the borrower said that Countrywide had called him on the phone and had offered to convert his ARM to a fixed rate. (All of these people are doing FHA loans.) It would be nice if Countrywide would continue to convert their ARMs to fixed rates. Unfortunately, it will be too late for some homeowners.

One would think that when one calls as a customer, they would get better treatment...perhaps they are lucky not to go with CW as that is where my identity was stolen from---and even though that one particular problem involving 2M people was resolved, doesn't mean it isn't continuing with another disgruntled, underpaid, undercommissioned employee.

Yes, this has been the same experience for me, many times over, it's unbelievable, as just the other day I did one, and the borrower was refinancing thru a broker, his closing costs were considerably higher, but he got into a fixed rate, well Guess Who they were selling the Loan to? CountryWide. Go figure, he said he tried to refi with CW and they told him No and also said they were rude to him. Its interesting that you posted this, because I've experience the same thing with Borrowers. As if CW is so angelic and really wanted to help people.
