I guess I will need to break down and invest in a lap top.

Pat - read the thread a few up from here
E-signing with 150 pages....then tell me if it's worth investing in the laptop - and it's not just the laptop - you need wireless card in it AND and aircard - IF you can get a signal in your area....MHO

" wireless card in it AND and aircard "
Lin: Not necessarily. I have done a few of these, and it was always under the umbrella that there would either be one or the other: wifi available at the signing location or the brw has a computer that could be used. Ultimately, it would be best to have the aircard, but most TC's understand that this is not finacially prudent for us given the current market situation. The back-up plan would be to meet where wifi is available. I have yet to run into a situation where I could not accommodate the signing due to not having the aircard.

In Baltimore I done only one e-doc signing. Don't think it's worth the investment unless you are missing a lot of closings. I use my husbands verizon card. It's slow as molasses.

Yes, I got it with the note to update the profile in their database if I was equipped. Amtrust has been actively marketing the concept through tc's, brokers, etc. So far I haven't seen any volume. Things are moving in that direction, that's for certain.
