Hurricane Ike Getting Closer

Getting closer to home here in Crosby Texas. The wind gusts are at least 35 mph now and boy do those trees sway.

Please, please stay safe.
Am watching Galveston on TV and I cannot believe some folks are choosing to stay, even though they are warned it could be certain death.

How far are you from Galveston????

Take Care Texans

Ike is bigger than your state.
I am thinking of Brenda, too.
Although 150 miles inland, she is right in it's path. She is going to see some weather, for sure.
I worry for all of you, esp. those people who decide to stay.
We are prayng for your safety.

I like wunderground.com They show all tracks and

storm surge models. Lots of kewl stuff for those of us that become armchair or wanabe meteorologists when tropical storms and hurricanes form.

Re: Hurricane Ike Getting Closer-No/ta/ry/2u

Crosby.....Gosh, why did you stay?

My daughter is in the inland path (Bullard/Tyler/Palestine) and I'm worried about her and family..... I don't think I have ever seen a storm the size of Tx hit the state of Tx and I have been here since the late 70's....

I'm in the DFW area so we will get the weakest winds/rain..... hopefully.

Be Safe!

Good to hear Brenda! Hopefully Ike won't come in that far inland. Keeping fingers crossed and prayers open for all those in Ike's path

**Hopefully Ike won't come in that far inland. **

It's passing to the east of us. Winds are at 40 mph here at the moment.

Glad if Sealy has power!

We haven't lost it here for me than five min. yesterday morning however some of my co-workers may be coming to shower later because they don't have water or power.
