Interesting Financial Times in the United States
It is interesting that a CNN poll says that 55% of the American public don't want a bailout of the financial industry for $700 billion.
I would guess that 85% of the notary/loan-signers would like a bailout so the loans could be funded.
What does everyone think?

I'm against paying to support greedy people ...
... who make thousands of times what I make in a year.
No bailouts. They made the loans that they knew they shouldn't make. Oops. Bye-bye.
I _do_ feel badly for the employees! And the homeowners who got suckered, especially by ARMs and brokers saying "Oh, don't worry. You can refinance in a year when your credit score is better and the interest rate will be lower." But not a lot of sympathy for the stated-income people who lied to get loans that they couldn't afford to repay. I've got genuine sympathy for anyone who lost their home.

Not Really, Sheila
Joan's second sentence: "I would guess that 85% of the notary/loan-signers would like a bailout so the loans could be funded" makes her comments suitable to this section.

This does belong in Just Politics
Just about every thing here pertains to notaries, but Ernest and Shela are right, this does belong in politics

as far as I am concerned, this is the appropriate forum for Joans post. This totally pertains to what we do and are hoping to be able to continue to do.

Re: Disagree Kathy
I agree. The "bailout" issue is political, whether it affects us as notaries, taxpayers, etc.

People misunderstood SheilaSJCA's Post, ....
... probably because it was a one-line "no message" Post.
She was agreeing with my opinion re peons, etc. She wasn't agreeing with me that the Post should have been in Just Politics because I did not express that opinion. She expressed that opinion seperately from her agreement. I do not believe that the original Post does not belong here.
