LOUISIANA NOTARIES ONLY!!!!!!

Dear Fellow LA Notaries,

We NEED a forum where we can exchange information and ask simple and complex questions from each other without the tirade of the common law notaries. I think we can start one in Yahoo groups. I would suggest that someone with more experience and knowledge to bring to the table step up.

CALLING ALL LA NOTARIES!!!!

There is already a Yahoo group for LA Civil law notaries. It doesn't seem to be used much. Last post was in April.
I'll send you the link via PM

LNA already exists. They have a website and meetings

and all kinds of information. Best of luck to you.

From a "common law notary"--Bleechhh

While we are all in awe of the majority of LA notaries, it seems that you are the exception.
I am usually nice to everyone but I do believe you know the expression pissant

Don't get your step-ins all bunched up yet, Janet

Janet, I think Maureen was responding to the original poster, not to you. In fact, since you are the most frequent LA poster, she seems to think rather highly of you, based on her post.

"Pissant"? Isn't that a type of Volkswagen?

Re: Really? Wow.

My abject apologies, (bow, scrape etc) I was replying to a previous condensending post and not to yours.

PISSANT?! Some class act! I dont feel that I deserve to be spoken to that way. I was referring to the TYPE of Law we abide by; Common Law vs Civil Law. I was not by any means calling ANYONE 'COMMON' .

Maureen if you took it personally, that is no reason to respond to me in that fashion without even attempting to understand to whom and what I was refering to.

I have had such an awful response on this website by notaries in other states, (God forbid I call them Common Law Notaries, which I thought was the proper term.) The notary commission aside...... PEOPLE we are supposed to be here to help, support and educate each other. The spirit that negativity breeds is awful and destructive. I really hope that you Maureen think before you attack another person the way you so unjustly attacked me.

Thank you

To avoid a misunderstanding.....

about who is responding to whom, simply quote a sentence or phrase from the post you're responding to. That way, no matter where your post falls in the thread, there is no mistake about who you are replying to. Guaranteed to quell confusion every time.

She did quote the original post and even took the time

to apologize to me in a private email. Class act when I am the one who misunderstood her post. I just try not to step on toes and sometimes printed words take on a tone that it's author may not have intended. I appreciate all the information that comes from this site from notary professionals and I try to always specify that we are different in our own tiny little Louisiana world. But, having said that, we can always learn something from others in the business, and I often do on this site. Thanks to you all and hopefully we will all be busier soon
