Low Pay Wins!

Well…it looks like the low-ballers are winning. I know someone that has a SS. She struggles every day to keep her fees, and the fees she pays as high as she can. And apparently it’s a losing battle. She just lost one of her title companies to a low-baller. Her argument is that she uses good professional, experienced notaries to do the job, and to get these people she must pay more. That along with her excellent service, and years of experience, justify her fees. So this low-ball company calls THE SAME NOTARIES, she uses, and offers them $75 to $85 to do the job, and they TAKE it! She (depending on area) usually pays $100 to $125 (edoc-refi) So these SAME notaries are doing jobs for her competition for at least $25 LESS than what she pays. What counter argument does she now have? Her competition gets the same good, experienced notary to do the SAME job for at least $25 less. Her ONLY choice is to LOWER her price, or lose the customer. My question is don’t you notaries out there UNDERSTAND? By taking these low fees you are just hurting yourselves and driving the few higher paying companies left out of business?

Absolutely correct Derrick. Everytime you shop at Wally

World, you are sucking the last breath out of a small business somewhere in downtown USA. That is the absolute truth. The beat and beat the small guy down till he has no chance at all. It has happened to me personally. I won't step foot in a WalMart.
