More on Lender's First Choice
I talked to the clerk for Judge Michael Romero who is handling the bankruptcy of Mercury Cos. She said I was not listed as a creditor in that bankruptcy and gave me the phone number of the law firm that was representing Mercury Cos. Dean Stallmaker of Brownstein Hyatt said that Lender's First Choice has not been sold nor is it included in the bankruptcy. He gave me the phone number of LFC, which is the phone number of First Am., which told me a couple of weeks ago that they were not paying vendors. Again, I say to you, if you're owed by LFC, you're on your own.

The LFC in Greenwood, CO owes me over $300 for the month of July. I wonder how many unpaid Notaries there are. Perhaps a Class Action lawsuit should be pursued. I called the First American phone number the first part of last week and left a message. Of course, no one ever returned my phone call.

colleen...i don't know if you have ever been........
a part of a class action law suit, but you would be lucky to recieve 2 cents on the dollar after expenses and atty fees were paid.......i was a part of a multi million $ law suit against the title co's of arizona some years back and ended up with $1.05 while the attys made hundreds of thousands....................

Considering the number of offices LFC has
aren't they going to have to file BK in each district where they did business then move to combine the cases? That's what EFS did...and Southeast Equity, too..

Just thinking out loud - but, since passing a bad check is considered fraud, and fraud is a felony, why not go to the attorney general's office, file a complaint against the company and tell them that you believe the company is in bankruptcy and ask them, that if the principals of the company knowingly committed fraud, maybe the bankruptcy court would deny their actions and have them put in jail for fraud. I guess at least this way they actually didn't get "off the hook". I am not an attorney and this is not to be construed as legal advice - just a thought.

Re: More on Lender's First Choice- file a claim
Which website can I get a proof of claim from? Is Mercury the same as Lender's First Choice and LFC? Will they accept orders from the same company in different states?
