Msg #262992 on journals

As many of you may know, Wi law is terribly lacking in any kind of detail. I looked up what to do in this situation and found nothing so I emailed the SOS. Here is the response


Thank you for your inquiry. In Wisconsin, the use of a notary journal is encouraged, but not required by Statute.

"What would the procedure be for me to protect the confidential information in my journal and myself?"


is not specifically addressed in Wisconsin Statutes, you may wish to seek a legal opinion."

and i bet if you call back and talk to 3 diff people they have all been trained to say the same thing...............

I am no lawyer but I would need a court order or subpeona. I think thats reasonable.
